By Lou Pritchett, Procter & Gamble
A LETTER FROM A PROCTER AND GAMBLE EXECUTIVE TO THE PRESIDENT* THE LAST SENTENCE IS THE MOST CHILLING Lou Pritchett is one of corporate America 's true living legends- an acclaimed author, dynamic teacher and one of the world's highest rated speakers. Successful corporate executives everywhere recognize him as the foremost leader in change management.. Lou changed the way America does business by creating an audacious concept that came to be known as "partnering." Pritchett rose from soap salesman to Vice-President, Sales and Customer Development for Procter and Gamble and over the course of 36 years, made corporate history. AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT OBAMA Dear President Obama: You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me. You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you. You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support. You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American. You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll. You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core. You scare me because you lack humility and 'class', always blaming others. You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail.. You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the 'blame America ' crowd and deliver this message abroad. You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector. You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one. You scare me because you prefer 'wind mills' to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves. You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world. You scare me because you have begun to use 'extortion' tactics against certain banks and corporations. You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals. You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people. You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient. You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do. You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaugh's, Hannity's, O'Reillys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view. You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing. Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years. Lou Pritchett * * This letter was sent to the NY Times but they never acknowledged it. Big surprise. Since it hit the internet, however, it has had over 500,000 hits. Keep it going. All that is necessary for evil to succeed is that good men do nothing. It's happening right now.* http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/youscareme.asp |

hmmmm, this gentleman had better check his facts on the standard of living, as I actually don't think that is true. And as for wether President Obama has military training ? um...why would that matter ? has every US president had military training ? Has every US president run a company ? and if they did...did they manage to run it sucessfully....? What politician doesn't demonise their opponents ? I seem to recall Mr Bush demonising a lot of opponents. And the .."will not listen to opposing, intelligent (?) points of view ???? geez, THe president has enough to do without sitting around listening politely to people who hate his guts, and think he is somehow...now how did this man phrase it ? not culturally American ? or some other vielled, ignorant jibe at his colour and heritage. I am so looking forward to President Obama coming to visit Australia in June, and I personally think that americans should be proud to have such an intelligent, well spoken, worldly man who has accepted to do one of the worst jobs in the world at the moment, and who stepped into a huga financial mess, as well as two wars. I personally find this kind of "open letter" to be written in anger and ignorance. Peace J |

Hmmmmm, let me see...... who might have a better handle on U.S. and world economics, one of corporate America 's true living legends-
an acclaimed author, dynamic teacher and one of the world's highest rated speakers. The author, Lou Pritchett, is a well-known public speaker who retired after a successful 36-year career as the VP World Sales for Proctor and Gamble. Lou Pritchett is one of corporate America’s true living legends- an acclaimed author, dynamic teacher and one of the world’s highest rated speakers. Successful corporate executives everywhere recognize him as the foremost leader in change management. Lou changed the way America does business by creating an audacious concept that came to be known as “partnering.” Pritchett rose from soap salesman to Vice-President, Sales and Customer Development for Proctor and Gamble and over the course of 36 years, made corporate history. During Lou Pritchett's 36 year career with Procter & Gamble he served as President of the company in the Philippines and as Corporate Vice President of World Sales where he worked in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, India, Middle East, North and South America. It was this global experience with customers and suppliers that led to P&G's legendary multi-billion dollar partnering relationship with Sam Walton and Wal-Mart. OR.......... let's see possum, didn't you work in a bank? Well there you go then.... how could Lou Pritchett, that successful executive, with 36 years of GLOBAL busines experience, possibily, top your credentials as a bank teller? ROFLMAO..... maybe you had better check your own facts..... if you had any, that is. |

The circulation of this letter is nothing more than a scare tactic. How many times does it state "you scare me"? 20 times. It's like involuntary auto suggestion as one reads it, Moon. It does more harm to the psyche than good. And i would hardly call Obama evil. Really? i think he's a president with his hands tied as so many of our presidents have been. And anyone who truely takes Limbaugh or Beck seriously is an absolute idiot; i don't care what his background is. This letter speaks volumes to the ignorance and lunancy of the far right wing. And just for the record; i don't care for the far left wing either. Almost all your posts are filled with so much animosity and anger lately, Moon. Too much animosity to be just about the politics of this nation. Maybe you should go within and examine that. Love, Chi

I already knew that the US cannot claim the highest standard of living without checking. But all anyone needs to do is a quick google, and you will see that the US often ranks in the top ten, or even top 20, but certainly is NOT number one.
The other countries listed include Belguim, Netherlands, Japan, Norway, Sweden, Canada and Australia...in no particular order. As ranking the exact highest standard of living includes a lot of factors, so if you are just ranking the GDP then the US is in about the top 5, but interestingly if you check "The highest quality of life" rank, which includes education and health etc Iceland, Norway, australia, Canada, ireland are listed as well as many others, and the US does not even appear in the top 10. So, anyone is welcome to go and check for themselves, but this was something I already knew could NOT be fact. Besides, I would imagine that the ranking would have changed dramatically in the last year or so, so it would be interesting to see a very new one. I agree with Chi, that the anger and propaganda sprayed about by your posts in the last year have really turned the tone of the boards bitter. As I have posted so many times before...what you see/create/visualise...is what you will get. If you see the world as fracked, as some giant conspiracy of crazed left wing greenies...then guess what ? I am glad I do not live in your world, but am sad that you would even create it for yourself. Peace j |

Hi Moon,
I too am bothered by all the negative things being posted about Barack Obama. He's doing the best he can with the mess he walked into as do all new Presidents. I believe all negativity goes to the place it's directed and that means he's really swamped by all the negativity that is sent his way. I don't think that's helpful to him or to us, as Americian citizens or even citizens of this planet. We should all be sending him light and love to help him with the horrendous job he has to do. I had the most wonderful spiritual experience I've ever had the day after Obama was elected president, and it was made clear to me that his being elected was the reason for that experience. Unfortunately, there are those to the far right who would like Obama to fail, which would probably mean our country would fail also. This kind of ugly hatred isn't good for anyone. We're at a very vital place in history right now and I would hope we could all work together for the best for huminaty as a whole. Below is a link to an answer to Mr. Pritchett's letter. If you would just google Lou Pritchett you'll see much more: Real History Blog: Response to anti-Obama Lou Pritchett If the link doesn't work, just google it. Chi, maybe YOU should go within and examine why you are so upset with me, because I post what I feel is important. Maybe you should ask yourself why it upsets you, when people speak something that you do not agree with. You say that anyone who takes Beck or Limbaugh, seriously, are idiots, but if Rachel Maddow and Chris Mathews did their jobs, instead of indulging in the tingles, that run up their legs, you might be better informed of the truth. .... but then, that's just what this administration wants. After all, several key people in this administration have publicly declared their admiration for Hugo Chavez, Mao Tse Tung, Carl Marx and Saul Alinsky. The FCC Chief Diversity Officer, Mark Lloyd said that he was impressed with the way Hugo Chavez took over communications and media, in Venezuela.... and the Prez himself, just last week, said that too much information can be bad for you... so much information can be a distration. WHAT? Seriously? I've never heard an intelligent person say that too much information is a bad thing.... unless, of course, there are things they don't want people to know. His hands are tied? With a majority congress and senate, who are willing to make secret, back room deals with him? I don't think bribary and intimidation were what our founding fathers had in mind, when they laid out our constitution, but that is what gave him his Trillion dollar health care bill. Maybe you should go deep within and ask yourself why you don't want to know the truth about this man who has turned a 780 Billion dollar deficit into One and a half Trillion..... and counting..... maybe you should ask why he keeps bailing out more banks.... Fannie & Freddie and now GREECE?!!!!! Moon |

Hi Bev A! I believe it is my life's purpose to speak out against communism and tyranny and I believe that this president and this administration are Marxist communists, who want to "fundamentally change the United States." I disagree that our country will fail, if this president fails. I believe that if this president succeeds, our country will fail. He has spoken against our constitution and believes in Social Justice, instead of Equal Justice. He should be helping Arizona secure the boarder, but instead, he divides the country, by accusing the Arizona law, of racism and now, the UN wants to stick their unscrupulously hypocritical nose into this country, as if they have a right to tell Arizona how to protect it's citizens. This president warns the country of the "possible violence" of tea parties, but says nothing about the actual violence, of immigration protesters. (Who, by the way, were organized and sponsored by SEIU). This president is the most divisive president, I have ever known. I don't know what to say about your spiritual experience. If that is where you are led, then that is where you must go. I only know that I have found my life's purpose to stand against tyranny. It is my own, spiritual journey. Moon |
